That thing is way overtop at $4,500! Now Honda just released the CBR250R for $3,999! And that is a sleek looking high performance machine with EFI! Does anyone have an SH150i, and what is so special about them?

Hmm. Good point. The PCX is $3399 for 125cc so, the 150 jumps $1100 ??

Wonder where there head is on this?

I know! The PCX looks way cooler, and tops out at the same, like 67 MPH.

+ all the dealer added fees, taxes, etc. . . seems like Honda is charging a premium for the "Italian heritage"!

I looked at the SH150i , really wanted an Inova125 (not avail. here); so I got a Suzuki TU250x for $3330 not including taxes and tags.

Thats crazy! I forgot about that! Who on earth would buy that, unless they had tons of money to blow and just wanted to see what the new Honda 150 is like? But come on! Italian heritage is no excuse, I can go out and buy a brand new Vespa S150 i.e for $4,399! And Vespas are like the Harley of scooters! The Classic and nothing quite them!

Or I can go and buy a Piaggio Fly 150 for just $2,899! Those are also nice scoots. Or for the same price of $4,500, I can have a big fully loaded Kymco grand vista 250 touring scooter! A lot nicer than the SH150i at over 65 MPH!

Or to top it all off, for $4,499, I can have a big SYM RV 250! And those of you that know SYMs know they are awesome machines. The RV250 will hit 91 MPH!

If you don't mind used bikes, you can have a BEAUTIFUL condition chrome Harley Davidson sportster for $4,500 or so on craigslist! A sportster will be overall a better machine.

A burgman 650 can be had for $3,000-$5,000 in great condition on craigslist.

So I think we know not to blow money on an SH150i by now!

A while back I test rode a SH150 - didn't like it. The engine seemed to rev very high and loud. Few months after that I bought a used SYM HD200 at an excellent price.

The quality and ride of the SYM HD is every bit as good as I've come to expect from the Hondas I've owned.

Plus Honda now has a 50cc, 110, 125 and 150 cc scoot with nothing then til the Silverwing at 600.

Who's the jackass picking that lineup? :rofl

The 150 was a 2010 model, brought into the US until they could bring the 2011 125 out. The 110 was a 2010 also. There are no 2011 110s or 150s on Honda's US website.
You want an Italian made Honda, you pay dearly for it. Anyone remmeber the pricing of the 599 compared to its competition ? :lol3

Wait, you mean the bikes that say 2010 and below are out of the US market at this time? It the metropolitan cut as well? It says 2009 Metro, and nothing further. I guess the Ruckus out sold it big time?

It makes perfect sense that it is cut from the US market. The 125 is better than the 110 and 150. The 110 is great price but it is to slow for fast roads, and the SH150i is no faster than the 125 but sold for twice the price.

JerseyBiker, it is really not all that great of a ride? Hmm, what a wast. The Sym HD200 is the way to go over it. 72-75 MPH and a whole lot cheaper. And for the jackass picking the line up, all I know is that they are also a stupid jackass who didn't pay attention or even take business in collage. They also seem to care a bit more about cash than what riders want. They should browse major scooter and motorcycle websites like this where people talk about their bikes and what they would like.

Its so obvious that Honda is a great bike company, but they don't always know what to build! For example, how many people leave a Ruckus COMPLETELY stock? Almost no one. It is so damn obvious that we need a 150 cc GY6 Ruckus! Even the chinese know that, making the 150 clone version! So why can't they learn how something called pricing correctly works and build some new smaller displacement scoots. Bring back the Helix sort of scoot, but with a 300 cc or so engine, maybe the SH300i engine! I don't know, but just make some new, cool creative bikes! Many people would like a 400 Helix or 400 Reflex as well. I wish we could get a very large cult of riders and contact Honda or something!

Whoa - so it's down to 3 scoots for Honda in 2011?

    Well, in a way that makes more sense going forward. A 50cc, a 125 and a 600cc.

Clearly American Honda (totally different company that Honda) sees little sense in importing the scoots we'd like Better to petition smaller companies like Kymco and SYM to bring in what we'd like - as far as sizes and styles.

yes the euro exchange rate makes the sh cost more then the cbr250r which is made in Thiland....last that I checked Italy is a developed country and has higher cost of doing business compared to Thiland.

It is still early so some bikes aren't posted on the honda site yet. Also since sales have tanked in the last couple years, what ever model with lots of remaining inventory from previous year(s) will not come out with a 2011 model year.

So everything comes down to economics.

That is a ridicules price! I don't know of anyone who would pay more for a 150 cc scooter than for a 250 cc street bike, especially a cool Honda CBR! Honda doesn't really care about scooters anymore. But you know it's not the same company anymore. Its not the fun little motorbike and cool CB 750 company anymore. It is a big profit company, with car like bikes and some cool dirt bikes, plus some sports bikes. The scooter market is of little interest to Honda at this time.

They seem to be trying to attract a different type of rider, especially with the new Fury Chopper. The CBR 250 does make a lot of sense, and they are pretty competitive with it. It is priced exactly the same as the Ninja 250, $3,999.

    Who knows whats next.

Well it could be good or bad depending on your taste on bikes. But the point is they are a classic company. They have been around for quite some time, and are one of the first major scoot companies.

I thought I'd like a SH150i until I found out the price. I caught a special price on a left over Zuma 125 for $2450 and bought 2.

Topless... the zuma is a great scooter but it is no SH150. My buddy just bought one and couldn't be happier. And he is finally riding, and he has had 5 other scooters. But I totally agree, the sh is not priced correctly

BTCN you WRITE such great posts, but have such a simple SN? WTF does your SN mean.

I (along with every person on totalruck,) would love a 150 ruck.

And I just want to let everyone who owns an old honda CT90 or 110. I just looked at a few of these in person this weekend, and in spite of the way they are priced in the used market, the DO NOT have solid gold .i really took a good look at the fraMes and ya know what, they just aren't made of gold. Yep, I was surprized myself. I looked carefully and I am sad to report......NOT MADE OF SOLID GOLD!

You mean my user name, BTCN? Actually this was originally part of my Email address and my name. The first and third letters are my initials for my name, Billy Conway. I just used the other parts because they were part of my email. I don't no exactly why, I could have just used my name, but what the hell, couldn't think of anything else at the time.

And for the SH, I do believe it is a great scooter, no doubt about that, but I think a sportster or burgman 650 would be more fun!

Yep, no shit. You can buy a post 2004 (first year of the rubber mount engine) for less than 5k here in phoenix.
