Or maybe the beginning of next week
Photos here of the bike Zanol is on > http://www.webventure.com.br/sertoes2012/galerias/fotos/id/1330/pag/18/?
So what do you guys think? Is it?
Defo not the Dakar bike, it may be unveiled in Morrocco mid Oct, but may not be until Jan, or even if it is, still not in the final racing set up
Testing is still refining what they have and Honda would certainly not run it in public until it was ready to do so.
But if you get yourself somewhere in CA or Nevada this week you may catch a glimpse!
Since I know the routes they are riding, I sneeked out with the camera today and caught this shot of the red riders and their new Dakar scoots!
I'd heard that the Dakar engines were still under development in Japan - this confirms it then
I thiink Honda just took K.I.S.S. just a liiitle to far......
Nope.....Honda Brazil says Zanol and team will have a prototype bike with especial parts.......and will provide parts for stock bikes for the rider insterested in build a rally bike....
The bodywork on the Zanol bike is very different than what the Honda Europe team used this year, so that would go with the Honda Brazil prototype statement. I'm also looking at the rake, it looks to me to be a little more than the stock 450X 27.9*. But that could be my imagination, the way the forks are loaded in the photos, or even the fender:huh
I'm just wondering if it could be the prototype frame.
And even though I am in California, the chances of a fat old guy on a worn out XR 400 getting anywhere near that crew are pretty slim
Alright, where are all the south west spies? I know for sure that Pizzolito Sam Sunderland are in the desert.
And half a dozen Japanese, with cameras and clipboards
Clearly the desert testing is going well, because Honda has just gone into production with the bike!
And HogWild's got his GPS waypoint/roadbook assembly crew on the job...
And I've got the RallyRaidReview staff working round the clock scouring the internets for the first peeks of the new steed.
...and I'm just... well, business as usual...
Very little public info, but Javiers Twitter would imply Helder is there, as is Johnny Cambell
They have been at Honda Racing at Santa Clara and Bell Mountain down in OC and are now in Nevada
I just got the inside scoop! This is where they are...
Obviously you're receiving enough Hush money to field a '14 HogWild Hack.... with Water Carrier...
Deadly has the scoop. ---- The new Hondas are twin cylinders. (.) (.)
