I was dumbfounded when I recieved the news (from too old) on tuesday morning... first Sam going down hard and THEN Felipe's accident shortly thereafter. Someone must have backed one of the HRC team box vans over a cardboard carton full of black cats! :huh Obviously a stressfull couple of days for Felipe and Sam's families and HRC keeping wraps on a public statement during the time that passed... the three big questions for mine just now are; 1. Hopes and prayers to Felipe and his family for a full recovery. 2. Postive energy heading Sam's way for as speedy a recovery/rehabilitation as possible... hope to see him back in the saddle at full capacity by the time the FIM rally calender kicks in. 3. When HRC make the official announcement as to what happened and who (if) will fill the (one or both) vacant slots at HRC for the "big show" in january? Or will they just run with the three rider squad now? I put my vote "in" for setting the wheels in motion, with a few e-mails and phone calls just over 48 hours ago... Waiting to see now with great apprehension what the brass at HRC decide put forth as a statement, and plan to do as far as the Dakar 2013 squad is concerned... Again, thoughts and prayers with Felipe and a "get well soon" to Sam... rotten luck mate!
