I thought that was a bit odd. All the might of HRC and they couldn't manage to issue/engrave it with a VIN number and write a letter saying "this is a new bike" so it could be registered on a 12/62 plate :D. Not that it will affect how it goes in the race at all, but it looks a bit "low-rent". :D

The 'low rent' character is appearing elsewhere as mentioned in the thread.

Seems inconceivable really. Is this a half HRC effort or full ?

As someone predicted, they went from LeoVince to Termingnoni exhausts.
    It looks very agricultural.

Looks like the perfect pocket for collecting all sorts of crap that will be eager to jump into the tank when the cap is taken off.

Not so much a prediction, it was what a guy from HRC at the Bike Show here in the UK told me they would be doing when the got to the Dakar.

Good to know he was talking the truth and not just spinning me a line :D

I noted that the HRC bikes look 100% corporate. There appear to be no Redbull logos on Helder's bike. I'm guessing helmet only, JC did have a Monster themed helmet.

Edit: Rockstar/Monster, I can never keep them straight...

I would suspect outside of their longtime suppliers and carrying their logos, HRC is banking on these results before they link up with a major partner to begin rebranding the bikes a la Repsol in MotoGP.

I wonder if that could have contributed to the problem Helder had on the Maroc?
