I love my little 750s I have Vance and Hines exhausts on though and they sound great! I think so anyway
I need to upload a new vid coz she has a few minor changes...more cosmetic though.
I'm in Australia so I don't work in miles but my little baby sits comfortably on 110kph. Still sits smooth at 120kph but that's as fast as I've done on her
Wasn't able to find a pre-owned RS in my neck of the woods, but found a deal too good to pass up on this '06 DC a couple months ago ... so far am enjoying it!
This thread kind of died. I was looking at the Honda catalog today and it seemed like there was a lot going for the RS. I will read this thread from the beginning, but if any of you RS owners feel like chiming in on your current feelings about the bike, please feel free.
It's funny. It seems that me subscribing to a thread often has that effect, unless it is a megathread.
A 2010 RS has shown up at a Honda dealership in a town that is an hour-and-a-half drive away from me ... only 1400kms (870mi) on the clock and only asking $4999.00 CDN ... if it's still there come spring, I just might see about trading my '06 VT750DC!
I've been looking a dealers website for "current inventory". I have yet to see an RS in a showroom down in the area where I am looking. Are they bringing it back in 2014 I wonder?
I generally don't like Hondas, and generally don't like cruisers, but this is a sharp looking bike. My brother once owned an 84 750 Shadow and I loathed the look, feel and performance of it, so it would take some doing to convince me to sign on the dotted line, but it's the first Honda I can remember ever appealing to me in any way, at least since the NS400-GB500 time frame. I think it would be smart for Honda to build up a huge catalog of accessory parts for this machine to let the owners personalize the hell out of it, ala the Bolt. Maybe put some extra effort into the fit and finish to make it an absolutely first-class bike. As it is, it appears to still be a little too Honda-septic. A few subtle touches to make a bit edgier looking would be nice. Let's face it, Honda has gone pretty far off the reservation lately with some of its new models, a bike like this is a bit of welcome relief.
Is this generally the same motor as the early 80's Shadows?
This, the Bolt, a Bonneville and a Sportster all seem to be appealing to me in ways I never though they would. That XS650 I had for 3 years seems to have corrupted my genes!
