I am going to heat or replace my grips... (in the future adding heated gloves and jacket also), for now, I am looking for the pros and cons of these two grip brands. I know there are tons of "heated grip" related threads, but I am down to these specific two that get, usually, great reviews.

Hot Grips brand (not Oxford) heated replacement grips or Symtec Heat Demon wraps. I like the idea of being able to change out my grips with the wraps underneath, but am not swayed either way as of yet... Looking for some help.

    Thanks

You might want to check the feel of the Hot Grips. The ones I had were made out of some hard stuff that increased vibration. I don't remember the particulars, and that was years ago, so they may be different nowadays.

Symtec wraps work great and an easy install. Make sure the switch is of the metal variety and not a plastic one. The plastic one that came with my last set looks like it will break easily.

I've had heated grips on my last two bikes and can't say I'd do it on my next. Way too hot for mild nights, even on low setting, and can't feel the warmth/heat at all when its really cold. If your going with heated vest and glove liners ... then why even bother? I wouldn't.
