How are these different from the BoxerBoost camshaft and light Cam buckets from Wunderlich and the various fuel controllers?

We need more details, please. What is it you want to improve? More power? Wider powerband?

A good tuner already have the tools to accomplish great results by using new camshafts, pistons, powercommander etc.

    Example:
    R1200GS 04'-07',
stock rwhp 82, max torque 96nm
tuned rwhp 115, max torque 119nm

Quite impressive, don't you think? It's not cheap, though. And involves installing new Wössner pistons, M-Tec cams, modyfying the intake snorkel, KN filter, PCIII, Acrapovic 2-1-2 full system.

Well hell, there is ya problem....your running windows on the BMW and it's giving you all those squiggly lines. T:freaky

JK...I think it's pretty cool that BMW owners seem more able and inclined to do these things then other owners. Out of need or desire I don't know...

    <BR>Yea, it plugs right in!

I'm thinking it was need. I finally just had enough of the 80's era Motronic ECU.

I missed the CAN BUS so I took the CAN TAXI. What exactly are we talking about here, tuning a BMW engine? Sounds great. Where to I sign up?

    Sounds REALLY interesting!!:clap

How well do you think your mods will apply to my 05 R1200 RT??
Higher compression than the GS, 12/1 vs 11/1.

    Regards

Isn't someone supposed to chime in with:

"Don't you think the BMW engineers know more about this bike than anyone else and built it with the latest greatest..."

Copy the Ducati 1200 Multistrada computer that way we can have 150hp in sport mode.

All of these mods we're going to make available, deal directly with the fuel injection system and it's foibles. This particular approach to engine mods has only been lightly touched upon thus far. We intend to dive into the deep end of this pool and 'make some waves'.

As such this first device can be used with any of the motoronic EFI based motors and the newer 1200 EFI system as well.

But the next few mods after this first one will initially be for the motoronic efi based bikes, with the canbus equipped bikes following a little later. Mostly due to the added complexity of talking to the 1200's ECU.

We will be filling in more of the specific details and the results of his research in subsequent posts. We will try to present a complex situation (the algorithm used to run the engine) in a simplified way by describing key specific operational portions of the program one at a time. Then we will tie them together to show how they interact and how we can optimize each of these operational areas to achieve a much better running engine.

It may seem like rocket science, only because,

    it is… :evil :rofl
