Old tag at Max Westheimer Airport Terminal in Norman
And the new tag
Am I the only one that thinks the food there is just, meh?
There are 79 better places to eat in Norman, cool place though. I’m always 5 minutes late, Westheimer is 3 miles from my house lol.
Maybe that's why we tag the outside?
This tag is in Chickasha if anyone is looking for a hint. The pool is not open for another 6 weeks though.
Beautiful weather and just to darn busy to get the bike out to fetch the tag.
Old Tag: Swimming Pool at Shannon Springs Park in Chickasha.
Good one. Glad to see this moving again.
Did you nab a pic of the mural across the street for the mural thread?
No, I did not get a picture of the mural that's in front of my bike, thought about it but didn't do it. I guess I need to check out the mural thread.
The murals at the swimming pool are nice, there is also one of the Oklahoma College for Women on the right side of the entrance, and another on the east wall. We rode by the Federal Building (now city hall), Train Station, and the college (University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) as of 1965).
I wasn't sure I had the right place, there's not as many leaves on the trees or as much grass in Bob_pet's picture.
Drop over to the mural thread. Some cool stuff over there. And its just one more thing to dawdle over when you are out there and take pics of. Like, old gas stations, post offices, old school houses...etc
Kingfisher, Oklahoma, nice cool ride this morning, just a few sprinkles getting close to Kingfisher, but other than that just miles on the old bike. Wasn't able to park on the same side of the street as all of those spaces where taken up. Is this building still in use? I saw a few Pioneer Telephone company trucks but none stopped at the building?
I didn't really have a plan on where to go next, I just heading to the house and I saw this and thought well lets keep the Pioneer name going and it should make a quick easy grab for someone.
I was surprised there was not a single vehicle parked in front of that building. They have an office building to the east of that building and another one to the east of that, all 3 are connected with a cat walk on the 2nd floor ( see google street view). There were several people going into the middle building, I assume coming back from lunch (parking lot on south side of street). Another block to the east, there are also several other Pioneer buildings and parking lots.
I would assume that employees are not allowed to park in front of this historic building.
This is the best that I could find for info on the building.
FYI, Seba Station Motorcycle Museum support.
Tell them to wait until Saturday so I can be there.
