I was directed to Ask Baldy for this problem. I don't recall ever being here before. The title "Ask Baldy" didn't trigger interest for me, like "Ride Reports", "Thumpers" or "Gear". But here I am and here I ask.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been replacing FumbleBucket pictures in my threads. I had some old posts that were very long. My first RR was in 2009, 2 years after I rode the TAT.

I jammed it all into one post. As I have been going through and replacing the photobucket place holders, I get an error saying it is too long. And I should shorten it. How much do I need to shorten it? How and why is this necessary? If the original pictures fit, why would the replacement pictures be any different?

All this FumbleBucket crap has taken a lot of time to band-aide. If I is too difficult to rework things back on to ADV also, I probably won't bother. That thread is 10 years old. But it still may be useful to some inmates.

I know I could copy and paste to new posts. But then the time stamp is a decade off. I just want to exchange the PBucket place holder with new pictures. I went through the first 8 pages in this section and didn't find anything.

The old system would allow more photos per post, that has been shortened to 40 or 60 now.

The software can be turned up to the amount of photos that you are working on.

Baldy or a mod may be able to help you.

That's another unfamiliar one for me. How do I contact Baldy or the correct moderator?

    They should read this post.

I believe you can edit under forty photos, save, then go back and do another forty, save, then fix the rest.

Your link showed that you had 93 photos in that one post.

Would you post a link to the RR you are working on.

I've tried replacing, saving, and going back to add more. It doesn't work. I think the limit may have changed after they were first posted. I have replace some pictures. But I am to the point where I can't even change wording. And I've tried it with Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. I could delete all the Pbucket place holders and maybe add more replacements. The place holders must count as pictures. I have the Photobucket Embedded Image Fix add on -so I can see the pictures. Then I open another browser to edit. If I delete the placeholders on the first browser, and IF it makes room for adding replacement pics, I can't look back to see which pictures to add.

Thanks, I'll look at the link.
I helped fix several broken Ride Reports after the move.

I copy and pasted the last 2/3 from my RR and added it at the end of the thread. Then I added pictures from Flickr. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And it was good to go through the RR again.
    Thanks Jerry

Hey TrashCan, I've a few questions about the pics in an old thread that I'm involved with but did not start the thread.
If I want to re-post the pics in a thread that I previously posted pics in will it move the post from the beginning (where I posted them) to the last page?
I'd like them to stay where I previously put them. Thanks in advance……:) Not sure if this is appropriate but……we live very close to each other (I'm in Tallassee).
Can you give me a ring sometime when it's convenient. 865-809-52zerozero. Thanks, Rick

    Hey Rick,

You can edit your post and keep them in place.
The safest way is to highlight and copy your post then paste it in this thread.
Fix the photos, then replace the post back to the thread.
