I've taken my tracks in Mapsource and done the "view in Google Earth" , saved those as a KMZ file. Now is it possible to insert those files or the map in the forums? If so, how?

    1) Post your KMZ file someplace on the internet.
    2) Copy the link to that KMZ file.
    3) In Google Maps, paste the link into the search box.
    4) Click the "link" symbol, and copy the code from the "Paste HTML to embed in website" box.
    5) Paste that code into your post on ADV.
    see result below

or do what I described here when you get tripped up at step 1:

Here's an extensive example of the above steps 1-5. This example has embedded overlay maps, tracks, waypoints, and more. To see the tracks, you have to turn off the overlay maps.

Click the link just below the map to be able to show or hide the various items in the KMZ file.

You cannot post a KMZ file.

You can link to a jpeg file that is hosted on a site like Smugmug, or another hosting service.

Yes, upload it to someplace like that, then link to it in Google Maps the way I described. Or post it on a forum that allowes KML/KMZ attachments, like RDC, then link to it there.
