Just skip to about 3:40...that is where one is reminded just how big these bikes are.

What's a little mud on a fully loaded Adventure = Priceless :eek1
So Jim, were you the guy who hit the mud fast or the guy who hit it slow?
Sonoran, its at Walker Valley up here in Washington. That day I was having sprag issues, so I was rolling down that hill at about 35, clutched in third gear trying to bump start, it caught at about half throttle. Now earlier I tried hitting the case with a rock and didnt know I loosened the banjo fitting on the clutch slave, just enough. So panic grab the clutch, I got nothing. Had to lock up the back wheel and shut it down, good times.
FAST in, very SLOW out
I've been picking my 990 up by getting the front tire pointing up, get both hands on the bar end, lift with the legs and then walk into the bike. Having that leverage really helps. Sorry, I don't have any footage of me wrastling this beast up out of the sand.
Since I was riding solo, I don't have too many pictures, but I borrowed my friends KTM and rode solo through the Spanish Pyrenees. Nothing gnarly, but I mixed it up with a little dirt. Not so bad for a 5'4" woman who had never ridden anything larger than a GS 650 prior to this.
They only shot of have of me with the bike is when I stopped in Andorra and got a shop keeper to take my photo.

2 videos on this page.... look at "Dont Look Down"
Trail just outside Santiago, Chile. :huh
My first ever video edit so forgive the false ending
Check out the untitled one, not gnarly but if you fancy a laugh......this is what it was like for a full 4 days following tha Dakar in Jan this year. I felt guilty...but I soon got over it hahahah
Nice. Who is the music on the "Don't Look Down" video?
The video doesn't let you appreciate that the wheels were significantly higher than the seat. Normally I can pick up that beast pretty quickly.
Roger that! It is good to see all these 9x0 pilots going places no normal person would want to go...
A little on the camera shy end aint they That lil guy in the untitled vid sure wanted to be center stage
Sorry mate, I have deleted it and I cant remember, was off one of those "chill yer ass out" compilations.
Not really gnarly but here ya go. We dont stop to take pics or forget our cameras on the last minute rides. Oh well.
Rode to Eldons on the ice with a bald scorp. its about 3-ish miles away
Neah Bay, WA. logging road and a dock with a bunch of holes in it on a loaded bike with a wife.
One of many Capitol Forrest runs.
And my gnarliest ride ever, a red head on a rokon
Not a crash but surely an accident!
