    What beautiful country, Kelly! :clap
Oh yeah, nice bike too.........

    I'm just finishing a '74 TS250 and I'm about to start restoring an '84 KLR600.
I spend a few years touring on an XT550 too. No reason they can't be as reliable (sometimes more) than a modern bike.

Had it since i was a teenager, and it sat in my dads shed for the last 15 years or so. I restored it last spring, commute with it every day in the summer last year and again this year...

I still have my 1981 Honda XL500S on the road. Last summer I took it on a nearly 200 mile vintage bike ride for bikes 30 years old or more. It ran well and was really fun to ride on the paved rural roads that the ride used. It likes its oil but no visible smoke. It has always started well cold or hot. Now has about 35,000 road and trail miles on it.

Got a few years beyond 25 going.

I have been riding these since they were new. Oh yeah, I ride XS650's from the 70's too.
    My newest bike is a 96 XR6 but the longtime rides are my 92 and 91 xr600's. I sold my 82 500 xr 1 1/2 years ago...
Still running strong with no smoke and never dis assembled. It's those squeeky drum brakes that made me do it.
Besides with three white bikes the red was the odd man out.

Keeps me in the "fiddling with bikes" mode as they each take their turn "needing" something done.

Should be able to go for a ride most any time unless you wanna travel across country:lol3

:cry:cryI have to ride all these old bikes...
:eek1:cry:huhI don't have any new bikes...
    :lol2:jive
I just keep them running and they are great compared to new bikes made of plastic with the styling that they think us americans want. (and the americans bought into it):deal
