Bumping this up, Im always interested in seeing what people are paying in other areas. I try to offer this service to my customers as cheap as possible as its the #1 thing that keeps them riding! :freaky

I get my machine set up,I think I am going for $30 for both wheels off the bike.I don't have the equipment to lift bikes to remove the wheels.I jerry rig my bikes to hold them up.I wouldn't do to someone elses bike.

My local stealer, Frank's Motorcycle Sales in Essex, VT, charged $50 per tire off the bike only IF I bought the tire from him. The problem is he charged $120 more for the tire than I could get it online, and $105 more than I could get the same tire at the local Yamaha dealer. Plus I had to leave the rim there for 2-3 days and put up with his insufferable attitude.

So I bought a Cycle Hill changer and do them all myself. Haven't been back to that stealer for so much as a light bulb since then.

I have too many bikes, and spend way too much money getting tyres fitted ($80 for a pair off the bike) The final straw was having my sidecar tyres mounted at the local Les Schwab (they are car tyres on car rims, and only charge $26 for the set), but they couldn't balance them because m/c bearings don't fit on their balancer.

I bought a balancer stand from Harbor Freight, and a box of wheel weights (total cost $70. Balanced the sidecar wheels. Ordered TKC80s for the 800 cheaply on line, Took a deep breath and changed my first set of tyres. It took forever and I was hating life for a while. But they are on for free, at my own pace, in the comfort of my own garage. And next time it will be a lot quicker. And I now feel a lot more comfortable in my capabilities of fixing a flat out on the road somewhere. AND I am $10 better off after only the first set!

Don't think I will ever pay anyone to change my tyres again.

Anyone knows shops changing tires at reasonable price in northern NJ (Bergen County) area? A local dealership charges $60 (including tire disposal fee) for each tire (off the bike). It seems too stiff for me.

    Thanks.

$25.00 tubeless , $30.00 with a tube. Mount and balance , wheel off bike. And most shops will do it almost immediately , it's quick money. I bring my own tires.
