Anybody know how much snow either of these areas got the other day? Per a report on 9News, it looked like perhaps quite a bit fell along 115 but not sure if that was correct.

    Thanks.

Total snowfall down here (just north of PPIR) was about 3" but it blew all over. We had a good melt off today and should have most of the snow melted and absorbed into the ground by Saturday. High temp today got up around 40 with lots of sun. Tomorrow and Friday are scheduled for middle 50's with lots of sun.

On Tuesday, Cheyenne Mtn High School had a 2 hr delay due to snow, but the rest of town was business as usual. I haven't been over towards 115 and on down to Penrose, but I haven't heard of any large dumps of snow down there either.

Most of the snow blew away in Canon City as well. Might be some ice and snow left in the valleys but probably not much.

Sounds good. I don't know why 9News showed an avy report that had a large circle of Moderate Risk between Penrose and Springs. The circle was centered pretty much on 115. I was like...huh?? First of all, what could avalanche in there anyway? Isn't everything densely treed?
