    Do I need steering mods?

I assume a friend and I could properly set it up if we had the necessary parts and tools.

I have a 83 GL1100/ EML. I bought it without a steering mod (original TT and forks) I put the steer rite TT and it was a whole different world best 700 bucks I've spent. Really!! Pm me or email if you need more info

As you are not all that far from us as we are also just a bit south of Seattle in Enumclaw why not stop by? You do not need to modify the steering however you may want to. For the GL1200 we recomend using the "Steer rite" from side effects in Canada www.sidecars.ca
We make bike specific mounts for your bike. Our least expensive sidecar is the Kenna at $3695 and it includes the mounts. We are finishing one up today on a Sportster as have two others in the shop right now just waiting to be picked up. We can also help you set up a used sidecar if you like provided that the sidecar is strong enough to be safe on your bike. While we do not have any GL1200's in the shop right now we do have a GL1000 and a GL1100 The GL1100 does not have a sidecar on it yet.
