I found these on you tube. It looks pretty easy if you have all the materials. Are there any experts out there who can add more instruction.

i've never used a vacume bagging set up. my next big project, i might splurge and get the equipment. but it is pretty straight foward and that vid covers most of the process. but the learning curve is a killer,it'll take a few runs b4 you start to turn out quality parts.( as in you won't be assamed to show them to your friends) set up this in the garage, and see to it that you don't have to come inside, for anything, untill after everythings setting up..you'll drag epoxie into the house and the wife will ban you from ever comming inside for the rest of your natrual life! btw fiberglass dosen't dry..like cement, it hardens

The vacuum bagging helps ensure a proper fiber-to-resin ratio, and it helps keep the fiber reinforcement (fiberglass, carbon fiber, whatever) properly "wet out" with the resin until it hardens, especially around hard corners, concave curves, etc., where the fiber would tend to spring away from its proper position without air pressure to hold it in place.

But the vacuum isn't necessary for the resin to cure.

LOL I was at that "class" That's his garage. A really great guy too, he use to post on Bay area Riders Forum here in the Sf bay area. He invited me and all the other people in the video to come over to his house learn how lay up CF and then make something simple, be it foot guards or exhaust guards.

Here is an amazing step by step thread he put together when he build a tank out of CF.
