Required elements are different for European rides. The latest version of the rules state that Barns may be substituted with a nude woman in the distant background.

    25 Barn points

The rules for other required elements, food and a bridge, still apply.

    25 Food points
    25 Bridge points
    =75 points for required elements
    Well done.

    Now for the extra credit.

Double decker bus that's NOT red.

If he had decent gear and we just dont see it, these points will be returned to their rightful owner.

    Bikes are too clean.

I miss Spain so much. Thanks for the blast from the past. I was there in the late 80's for 4.5 years. Down in the South. We'd go up to Barcelona to beat the heat believe it or not. I wish I was a biker back then. Now that I know that you can rent nice bikes, I'm really thinking here........

Loved the quote about El Corte Ingles.....we'd have to drive up to Sevilla to shop there as it was the closest place with a decent selection of clothes. I lived in a little fishing/vacation village called Chipiona, and there wasn't anything like that for 100's of km's. Thanks for the memories.......

Yeah that Guzy fellow sucks and big time!:D

Last time I went for a ride with him I had to stop to throw up (not a joke). Jeez great road, two great riders (and me). The only two complaints, I dont think yellow really suits Gustavo, but then Im really into colour schemes (not) and the temperature, too damn hot! Way too damn hot.

To the girls comments, it is pure coincidence (damned incompetence) that there were no topless women in the foto. Pretty much all women do the topless thing here, its just how it is, my wife included.

Re points system - add some for lean angle, get rid of some for the next day beer face he really looks bad, drunken bum. :freaky

The next pic will give you 5 extra points, I'm soooo sorry forgot to send it :D

As you can see Jackhole walked almost 2 miles into the forest to keep out of our sight while peeing, he's so shy... I have to say that he was a funnier guy when I met him at El Corte Ingles :whip

Next time he comes, after drilling my immaculate seat I'll fit a leaking fuel cell to the GS then ride about 4.000 straight miles on 10 lane highways taking only 12 hours (I think that will take us to Syberia or something) and back to Barcelona, of course we'll only take food that can be eated while riding. I'm sure he will be happy then and it could be fun! :puke1

And here's "God save the Queen" Bob about to do what he more likes to do when riding :puke1 and Jackhole trying to get revenge for the awful weekend. I also have to say that I don't like Bob -he eats lots of polenta- but sometimes I love to share the ride with some good vintage motorcycle just to remember how good 21st century technology is... by the way I don't think knobbies really suit Bob :up

    Goodbye :wave

OK, that was a good comeback. :rofl

In all honesty, Guzy and Spanish Bob are great guys who are willing, with almost no notice, to give a visitor a guided tour of the phenomenal roads they are lucky enough to call home.

I can't wait for my next chance to ride with them, and I may try to learn some spanish before then. I might be able to follow the conversations a little better that way. :augie

Oh, and Guzy is right about one thing. Knobbies are not suited to anybody who is trying to keep up with him. It's not really clear that any tire would help, but it is impossible on knobbies. :D

Awesome pictures. I was there for a week for a buddies wedding in 2001 but didn't get to ride. Is that Las Ramblas you're sitting at? We ate there just about everyday. Well that's it I'm going back!

Thanks. No, the picture where we were sitting is in a small town called Sant Fileu de Guixols. It is right on the beach an hour or so (?) north of Barcelona. The city pictures were all taken at or near the Plaza de Catalunya which is right on Las Ramblas. I really like the city a lot, and I hope to take a strictly-for-pleasure trip there sometime soon.

Good reads! I wish I had something witty to say, but the bartender here at the airport is insisting on a shot with every beer and I is all foggy now:1drink I will be looking forward to an epic (most of) Team Blitzed report in the next couple of weeks. If only I had been invited sooner... Enjoy the new bike.

Strictly for pleasure? Is that a trip where you stay of the dangerous twisty roads?

Nice report, nice roads, nice scenery although it would be a lot nicer if specific locations would be listed as to where the pics were taken.

Seems to be a weak point on a lot of touring reports.

I can send you a Garmin file for the trip I did with those two guys. I´d prefer to forget the trip as the roads were awful and those two guys ride like shit, but hey I was happy on my cubist TKC 80s..

Serious: I do have the route I did with them. Course that doesn´t include all those "bars" JH insisted on going to. But hey....

Please do. You have my e-mail address.

That has got to be my only complaint with most touring reports that I come across...a lack of photo details. Now if I didn't find the touring reports interesting, where the photo were taken wouldn't be an issue.

Good thing you were along to show them how to ride. :D
