That statement might be premature but we'll see :evil

Thanks EZ for posting the info for this ride. We have the Wickenburg Community Center reserved for the event which is an awesome venue with plenty of room for everyone.

Fyi, the Saturday B route has been changed to be much more B friendly on the way to CK. If you remember the last time the A's and B's shared much of the same route going to CK on Saturday which was a bit much, B's will have a much better ride this time around :D

    Registered...

The last Wickenburg run was interesting.

    1. I did the B route in Prescott with no issues on my F650GS (21/18 with KTM forks and shock).
    2. Rode that beast to Wickenburg and didnt get off the B route until 10pm. Encountered people in the sugar sand that were getting ready to spend the night. I had people following me because my bike had a good headlight, but the BMWs nose heavy nature made that sand a total beotch.
    3. Got home and put the BMW up for sale.
    4. Bought an Aprilia RXV5.5
    5. Took it to H@M 2012 in Payson and loved it. Also cleaned up in the raffle.:evil

Ready to tackle the B route in Wickenburg on the new hotness.

Going to tackle the B route on a Tiger 800XC. What could go wrong? Just moved here and have to get my drill schedule for the year before I lay my money down. Looking forward to it.

Never ridden the Tiger. If the sand is truly gone, you should be good.

Forgot to mention: The guys getting set to pack it in for the night were on KTM RFS bikes.

Yes, the sugar sand wash at the end of the Sat B route is gone. That whole section from the Cooper Ranch back to Wickenburg is 'A' only. Actually the Saturday B route is changing and will be separate from the 'A' route. The B's will have sand wash but the big wide gravely sand type (Buckhorn Wash) which is much easier to ride and you can keep your speed up.

Are there GPS tracks? If so can get them ahead of time to load in my Delorme PN60? Ready to pull the trigger. Lastly what time does the breakfast start? Debating camping in Wickenberg or coming home over night.

Yes, GPS tracks are available and will be emailed to all pre-registered participants in early October.

Saturday breakfast starts at 6am with last rider out at 8am.

Sunday breakfast starts at 6:30am with last rider out at 9am.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the routes this weekend and should have the final mileages and other details ready for distribution next week.

Thank You! to everyone who has already registered for the event. I think we are closing in on 100 participants at this point which is awesome! Rider Confirmations will be emailed next week with all the details.

For links to registration, event flyer, and other info check the ATR webpage www.arizonatrailriders.org .
