Get rid of the turn signals and horn and go ride in the dirt! :lol

The X2 I got came as a plug and play. It uses the OEM switch. I think the kit is for a bike without lights to begin with.

I'm going through the bike servicing all those often missed parts. Can anyone confirm the correct KTM part number for the lower shock bearing (on the 570)? I have 50304090144 from the parts list. Even found it online at Amazon.

I'm going to replace the swing arm bearing(s) too. Went to Pivot Works for those (here).

Not sure about the steering head bearings - I have part number 54201081100 (top & bottom). Can anyone recommend a source for those (other than KTM OEM parts?

Anyone know of a dealer in SoCal that I can trust to send my ECU to for a re-map? Or outside this godforsaken state works too.

Just dont want to send it to some unknown and have them lose my ECU or other horrific result..

Also, is the KW817EU0901001 euro comp map the most-current version for the FE570?

    Thanks!

Can't help with dealer SoCal, but that's the good map #. I can tell you about a good dealer on the east coast. I bet you could have it back in a weeks time.

yeah i might do that, the responses i've had from a couple local dealers like; "...uh...husa...buh..what? that's a KTM??.." and "$65 and you need to bring the bike in", aren't giving me the warm fuzzy feeling...

also, one dealer here said he had to have the bike so they could contact Husaberg and get a release to do the map.

i'm not sure that applies to the 70degree Bergs, does it?

Yes, however a Battery Tender will not fully charge a lithium battery and the steady state 'floating mode' is not really high enough.

I have a TurnTech 10 amp in my 990. Left something on for I don't know how long(couldn't remember the last time I was playing with the bike). Went to start the bike and it was at 1.7 volts. Thought the battery was toast. 10 amp charger for twenty minutes and started the bike. Then did the 1.25 amp trickle overnight. All is well and that was a year ago. Battery is 3 years old+ .

Took the berg out today with the studs in. I love crossing slick logs on a 45* angle without worry and hanging wheelies across long stretches of ice!

got the Berg out to the dez yesterday, almost have the suspension where i want it. and the Rekluse works well in the sand, digging it! this bike is the easiest to ride of my bunch and after just a few trips out with it, i really feel comfortable just mobbing it through the hard stuff. i traded bikes with my buddy and he had the same impression of the Berg, smooth, powerful, nimble and well suspended. and no vibes! (although his bike is a kx500 in a 250 frame, so "no vibes" is kindof relative.)

edit: got the 70degree subframe tank on, what a pain in the arse!
