I want to get the rade take but don't want more noise. Has anyone installed the rade tank with K&N or Unit filter and think it is too loud?

If you mean engine noise, I was a little concerned at first. I thought my tune was bad because the engine went from basically silent to clicky clackly like my DRZ used to be, but 7k miles and one valve adjustment later it runs like a top. At idle you can just listen to the cam - only at idle though. At some speeds in certain gears you can hear a little induction noise which is cool.
If you mean exhaust noise, well yeah, the open Wings was super loud at first but either it broke in or I got used to it because I don't find it to be that loud anymore unless I'm making it be. I still wanna say the MRD race pipe on my DRZ was louder but honestly don't remember.

You should really just wear earplugs anyways and none of this matters.

Rade tank with foam Uni on mine. Barely notice the intake noise difference from the stock setup.

I just mean the intake noise. I don't wear earplugs since I got the Lynx Fairing. The wind noise is almost gone and quieter than with just earplugs.

Another 200 miles of interstate today. Bike did great but after my last fill up low fuel light started coming off and on after about 20 miles on the tank? Anyone else had that problem? IMG_0012.JPG

Oh, the intake noise is barely audible, sometimes. You basically have to be listening for it.

Thought this might be useful for some, its a 10min mod if you ride where there's potential for snagging cables. I used a round file to lower the existing mount for the rear brake line so the ABS line could go under it to be better protected. 20170930_124846.jpg 20170930_130714.jpg 20171002_133759.jpg

Mine has been having the light come on intermittently all summer long. Seems worse when temperatures are hot. Winter project is to look into what might be causing this.

Add another tally to the peeling seat decal riders. Dealer says he can only get the replacement decal kit, not a whole seat. May try another dealer in the morning.

Well heck, I believe this picture answered my question. I just put some sumo wheels on my enduro model and hadn't thought through the fork guards. Of course, I had to remove them to get the front wheel on. I was thinking about just ordering the factory sumo ones, but in this picture I see that they mount differently! Just eyeballing the stock enduro ones, it looks like if I just follow the line up from the bottom part of the guard where it it skinny and cut off the part where it comes out and goes around the the tube, it will fit. I was leaning against doing this because I want max fork protection when using the dirt wheels. I guess I can buy another set of the enduro ones when I switch back. Can anyone confirm that just going straight up from the bottom is enough of a trim?
    TIA!

Anyone changed the stock gear shifter? I'm after a replacement, don't fancy waiting forever for husky to send a stock one to me in Adelaide.

Any ideas on engine case covers would be awesome too.

I was considering buying a Hammerhead one, a bit longer and a larger shift tip.
