I put a deposit down on the FE350S. Super stoked! Not in the dealers here yet but they have pricing. Canadian MSRP for the 350S is $11,249.

FE 350 S will be my next bike! :clap

Street legal, baby! Dealer says they will be arriving in October. I'll use my TE250 for the rest of this season then pick up a new bike in the spring. I'm hoping/betting that they won't detune or change the suspension much from the current FE 350. Just add mirrors and blinkers. :deal

Who needs an "S" when you can have this? Get your thoroughbred without a saddle and bridle, then build it for your use!

There are some pics for ya!

well I guess CA has a method to make a consumer spend more by requiring the "S".

Besides the kicker and linkage suspension is there any meaningful differences between the 500exc and the FE501S?

I may ride a little fast and someday it may catch up and bite me in the ass but maybe not if I give it just a little more gas.

Some things I've noticed from my friends that have 2014 500 EXCs and XCWs..

Differences on the FE vs XCW/EXC, slightly larger tank on FE (.3 gl) , rear subframe, linkage rear suspension, forks 4CS, compression/rebound adjusters on top of forks, billet triple clamps, headlight, front fender, rims, saddle and seat pan, integrated rear grab handles, airbox-filter attachment retainer, swing-arm, engine side case covers, no kick start on FE, display is nicer on FE..

The non "S" version allows Euro mapping to be loaded by the dealer where that is not allowed to be done on the EXC and XCW,,, at least by my dealer and apparently monitored by KTM. Many with the KTM circumvent this by changing the TPS setting for increased fueling.

I got my 2014 FE 501 plated in Ca. It's not hard to do if you just think it out first.

Really, it depends on that all important back tire and whether there is any knob left on it from all the fun you just have had ..

If that's any indication, I've had a lot of fun on my 500 EXC. My rear tire only lasted three weeks. Hopefully Alvincullumyork will buy a 501, because I'd really like to ride one!

I read that the Husq subframes are synthetic, rather than the metal used on the KTM.

Well, it's going to be a long wait... I just put down a deposit on an FE350S!

Has anyone ridden the off-road only versions of these bikes for 2015 yet? Since the bikes are mostly the same I'd be interested to hear any impressions...

There are some ride reviews and videos over on www.cafehusky.com. One thread features a factory rider taking the 350 through some boulder gardens and mudholes.
