For the most part, she'll probably use them for long distance touring for another week or two.

    Very good news. :D

Especially after she got it washed. :lol3

Well, I went ahead and exercised this morning, a bit wore out now.

    Smiles everyone!

Well, that annoying "bump" I started feeling in the handgrips on the way back from Vermont got to the point I could feel it in the footpegs too. Initially I was blaming the Vermont roads for beating my steering neck bearings to pieces :lol3, but as it turned out, my chain master link was failing. Only got about 10,000 miles out of it, not good. So I put on a new chain and sprockets.

Then I went for a little shakedown run. I had also re-shimmed my cush drive rubbers, so it feels like a new bike. :clap

I dropped by to see my friend Ronnie, it's been a while. We have done several trips together over the years (Maine, Key West, The Natchez Trace) but he's decided to stop riding and even sold his bike.

Nice millstone in his front yard.

Some birdhouses along his pasture fence.

Then I rode home into an intense sun, just in time to do the dishes before the boss got home. :D

Saw this beautiful old cemetery on Boy Scout Camp Road. They have done some thinning and clearing since I was by here last; you couldn't see this from the road before. Very pretty.

Ohh, now you've done it... I'll be trying all evening to think of the 70s horror flick that started with the grave rubbing scene. :baldy

I don't usually look inside, just stay on the bike. This one from last year had the metal water heater cabinet in the corner.

I tried looking up Susan L. Slade, no luck. Probably doing it wrong.

Thanks, it gets harder to find interesting (to me) subjects when the leaves come off.

Lots of the beauty of these cold, clear winter days can't be captured by the camera very well; you have to be in it.
