You love your boxer.......you just don't know it yet.

Boxers (especially GSes) grow on you...yes, they are underpowered, somewhat heavy and a bit ugly, like a farm tractor but, they rarely let you down, they take immense abuse and will go where few other motorcyeles will go.

Give it a few months.....you've put lots of time, effort and work into a machine that will be with you for a long time...love takes time, love hurts, love grows...respect your GS...it respects you!

10/10 for trolling. I love my couple of Boxer bikes. I don't like Harley Sportsters or DR650's. But I ride with blokes who own them and love them. So what? What's the point here? If you don't like it - Then sell it.

I genuinely hope you are able to find a big capacity bike that you love to ride. Everybody needs that. Keep searching. Keep trying different machines. Good luck with the hunt.

I don't like McDonald's. And Wendy's. And Harleys. And soda pop.

I do however like instant noodle soup!

Hey OP using quotation marks like you did implies that what's between the marks is NOTIONAL. Notional means not real or actual. When in fact you do not need quotation marks because this bike is according to the scale too heavy.

Looks like the OP lives in the city. It's a lousy bike to ride in city traffic.
When the Mrs Tucker talked me in to getting my first R1100 I test rode it around the neighbourhood and hated it.
Anyway on the freeway going home I nodded my head yes at 90mph and said to myself "Now I get it."
By the way those sticky out cylinders saved Colleen's leg one day when she was hit head on by another bike! It sheared the left cylinder off to the block!

Clearly not for everyone...and that's not a bad thing. I mean, if everyone rode BMWs, who would we look down our noses at?
