I am jealous... Include Marmaris in your route. Keep in mind gas in Turkey is expensive, $12/gallon last time I was there.

    Shalom Scooterman,

You're route is pretty much what I did 2 years ago. April is a funny month in Turkey, it can be warm but it can be cold and rainy, especially in the Eastern Part.

I see you are heading for Kas? You know anybody there? A friend of mine is living there. He is on ADV rider as well. You can find him listed as Dicky B. He can give you good advice as well.

You can check out my FB (marco koopmans, Haarlem Netherlands)for pics made troughout Turkey (and Israel :-)

Enjoy the ride......I did mine on a GS1150.......Turkey is great!

Make sure not to miss Nemrut Dagi which is right next to your route. Be there at sunrise or -set and be amazed.

Side story: The mountain top is believed to be the burial site of Antiochus I and had always been in the interest of tomb raiders. But its simple design, being just a huge pile of small stones, is still protecting its content as it's not solid enough to dig into.
