Waaaay back in 1978 I blasted a deer at about 60mph, I was on a Ducati 900 Darmah, which I think may be the reason I DIDN'T even crash!!! Locomotive length wheelbase probably helped. Stupid things head hit the fork tubes, swung around the left side, then got hung-up on the Center-Stand peg/tang/thingy which ripped it wide open from it's neck to it's crotch. YUCK! Bike covered in deer goo. Watch dogs at my Dad's shop thought it was yummy though! LOL!
Dad ripped me a new asshole saying I didn't know how to ride! Funny, considering I was lucky enough NOT to crash.
About 6 years later............HE nails a deer dead-center with his (now my) MV 750. Blows it in two. BIG crash. He got his bell rung pretty bad and pulled some groin muscles. Good thing he was a much better rider than me.
Glad OP came out of his Deer Encounter unscathed.

If the name Deersplitter wasn’t already taken, it would be an appropriate inmate name to use.

Damn, that's an amazing story. I know people who have hit at MUCH lower speeds and fared far worse. Buy that lottery ticket!

You need an AH-1G overhead with some HE 2.75" folding fin rockets to fly cover for you to blast the critters out of the way.
Or Sean Connery's rocket firing BSA.

Well done. Luck does play a huge part but I have a feeling that being on a lighter dirt bike without a fairing and other crap to break on it helped. Guessing your AT wouldn't have fared as well.

Glad you're OK! Don't mount the head to your wall, mount the head as your new fairing!

    Damn lucky!
