The fork says WP down the side if it wit a bit of Brembo jewlery on the lower.

.......where did you get this low cost stuff from?

So far as it goes the tech specs thus far are impressive.

    Claimed 180hp
dual fired Kleihin EFI w/throttle by wire
    Bosch ABS
    Slipper clutch
    Traction control
    48mm WP USD forks/shock
    15,000km(10,000 mile)valve maintenance
......and from the looks of the site they worked the RC8R's adjustable egronomics.

The Super Duke is a bike I've drooled over for a while, the 1290 doesn't disapoint.

Oh hell that thing isn't cheap either, they had one on the floor at a local shop and they had a 11,000 dollar tag on it.

That is a little much for a thumper to me, unless it comes with like Jessica Biel naked.

In the states we only get the regular 690 Duke. It's msrp is $8995 ...so a $11k price is a rip! Unless they decide to bring the "R" which likely has the top shelf bits.

You better have a few bucks extra for rear tire expenditures on that thing...:lol3

Worn out rear tires will pile up fast.

Please ship all these bikes to the USA first:D

Motorcycle News is going to have an article about the bike next week. Not a road test, but news "from inside the KTM factory". Probably a lot of KTM PR but still might be interesting.

You lucky devil! Here in the States it will probably be 2015 before we see any and in limited supply.

KTM traditionally delivers the bikes of a given model year to the US at the beginning of spring (that has been my experience at least with the 5 KTMs I have owned). I think we will see model year 2014 SDRs in the US around next April.

    I hope... :D

That would be great. I just wasn't sure if they'd wait to release them in the States the way they did the new 1190 Adventure.

Some pics of the 1290 with loads of PP goods (full akra, slip-on, crash pads, wave discs, machined triple clamps, different seats)

Akra slip-on doesn't look that special, I am going to wait for a Wings, Gorads slip-on for the 1190 looks way better then Akra's.
    Crash pads look nice
