Popular Mechanics had a piece about it in the december issue. They don't mention the name Laverda let alone that it has a 180 degree crank in a triple.
For some reason, people like to build hub center steered Laverdas.

Last year when Connie and I were traveling along the Atlantic French coast, while riding thru a very small town, we saw a shop with several of these. Their english was on par with my french, so never really figured out whether they were the manufacturer, although is was strange to see so many units in a town of maby 2500 population.

    They sure were cool:clap

Car engine actually in the sidecar.

Yup. Not a single one is left entirely stock, and that's exactly what they're loved for... they have their flaws, we iron 'em out and then discover new stuff...

    Cheers,
Greg - currently just Laverda 1000 OWNER, after christmas I should also be Laverda RIDER :D

Speaking of Laverda powered rigs for those who are familer with the USCA logo it is that of Hal Kendall's outfit which was a Laverda / Watsonian.
