Is there a way to tell if an inmate has been banned? Can you tell if they have been perma-banned or just away at banned camp?

Typically if you can't find the inmate in search or tag them in a post that is a clue they have been banned.

If you see posts by an inmate with their name struck through that means they are in banned camp. I am not sure there is a way for inmates to identify someone who's simply away vs perma-banneded.

The strike-through is only visible to staff. I don't know an easy way for the rest of us to know. I believe you cannot PM a banned inmate.

I don't think will HD will mind using this.

Their name will not highlight in a search, but you can type it in and the search will look for their post.

Usually, if the "start a conversation" line is missing in the profile, they are banned, or ignoring you.

Also, if you try to tag an inmate in the post, their name will not fill in or be an option. Example: I tagged @JimVonBaden by typing in @ and by the time I typed 'Jim,' JimVonBaden was an option to tag. Had he been banned, that would not happen. I could still tag him, but would have to type his whole name in correctly, with no suggestions.
Jim is not banned so it worked.

I was hoping that you would not mind me using you as an example.

Nah, there is a simple irony to it, and honesty too! :-)
