Many of you probably saw my thread "what to buy next?" Well, after reading your inputs, doing lots of research, sitting on a bunch of scooters and some test rides, Here's what I got:

    It's a new, 2009 Aprilia CitySport 250. $3,499 + $35 + tax.

Man, that's really nice- is this a Huntsville scooter or a Marietta scooter? (Or Dahlonega maybe??)

I didn't recognize the dealership, so I'm guessing Huntsville?

How about telling us about it!!!!:clap

Sweet! Is your other one the Super 8? This one should complement it very well. I'm thinking your wife saw how much fun you've been having and gave you an ultimatum (an ultimatum of the good kind) to get her a scooter OR ELSE!!!! :whip

And yes, you are now officially addicted.

Its Riders Hill in Dahlonega, GA. I think they recently just started selling the scooters although they have been selling Aprilia's for awhile.

I got it in Dahlonega. Here's the background. We had kind of decided on gettin a Piaggio BV250. Saturday before last, we went back to the dealer in Marietta to take another look and they had just sold it. Also, the price they quoted was way to high for an 09 scooter.

On Sunday I jumped on my KLR and Headed for the N. GA Mountains. I stopped by Riders Hill to see who was hanging out there and to get something to eat. When I walked inside I saw 3 Citysports on the showroom. I didn't know they were still available. Then I saw the price tag, way less than the BV250. I called my wife, she drove up and we sat on it. We both thought it was comfortable so I gave the dealer a deposit which he said he would refund if we didn't like it after a test ride. It wasn't prepped so we had to wait until the following weekend to ride it. The test ride went fine last Saturday so we got it, $3744 OTD.

Of course, we had to make it into a "touring" machine so:

Actually, I just sold two of my old motorcycles and my wife said "Now can we get another bike that's comfortable two up". She was thinkiing motorcycles but after sitting on a bunch of motorcycles and scooters she realized scooters where more comfortable unless we wanted to get a really expensive motorcycle. She used to ride herself but lost interest a few years ago. Her bikes included: Honda CM200T, Yamaha Seca 550, Yamaha Virago 700, Yamaha Seca II, Yamaha TTR125, and Suzuki DR250. Right now she doesn't seem interested in riding except as a passenger although I suspect if she ever rides one of the scooters that may change.

They tried selling scooters back in 09 but when scooter sales tanked, they stopped. They just decided to get back into it when they got some Aprilias from Florida really cheap. They still had a couple of 250's left last weekend.

Congrats! That's a mighty fine looking scooter - how about a complete ride report/scooter test for us scooter fans?

As soon as I get the chance to take it on a real ride, I'll do that.

I did fill it up the other day. I guess I can live with 83 MPG.:D

Awesome! I think you'll love the improvement over that air cooled 150 cc GY6 motor on the higher speed roads!

Even the aprilia's 150 performs very well do to the higher performance water cooled engine design. They top 70 MPH.

Also 83 MPG is damn good for a 250 cc! Not far from my 150 between 85 and 100!

    Hope you enjoy it!

    Congratulations on the bike.

I have to agree with you. The more I ride my scooter the more I think about selling the motorcycle.

I'm getting 65mpg on my 250. 83mpg is great especially since it's brand new. Nice looking scoot btw.
