After Mrs. BreadMan wrecked Stella, and I fragged the motor, its been sitting. When I bought the Elite, I planned for it to be a training vehicle to help Mrs. BreadMan learn how to scoot without shifting gears, and then move on to the gears with Stella.

    That is not to be.

After getting comfortable this weekend with the Elite, and blasting all over town for an hour, she decided that she really prefers the CVT trans, and now wants a Vespa with a CVT.

So I can't keep Stella and a Vespa, so as soon as I rebuild, it'll be for sale.

And if you have or know of a CVT Vespa for sale in the DC/MD/VA/PA area, please PM me.

Did she not like the shifting as well I presume? Did you get another scoot?

You Sir, have forgotten the very important fact that I had whitewall tires before you. :deal

Do not let this vital information slip past your feeble intellect!!

You have become my kind by adding the whitewall tires!

    What color?
    How much?
How much body damage (on the scooter)?
How long before you unlunch the powerplant?
(I'm getting a Vespa 125 that has been rebuilt with a Pinasco 177 kit and a Sito+ exhaust).
    But others might wanna know.:evil

It partly was the shifting, but more her uneasiness navigating downtown DC traffic.

I understand -- I feel much safer on my 11.5GS than I did on the scooter. People see me on the "big" bike and mostly defer to me as if I were in a cage, but would cut me off without a second thought on the scoot. I also found the Stella's brakes to be wanting compared to the GS.

Parking on the sidewalk with Stella was nice (albeit still illegal), but parking the GS isn't much more difficult, and the GS with Jesse's just was more practical for me. So I remain scootless.
