I am trying to create maps from GPX files generated from basecamp using IMGfromGPX. It creates all the files with the tracks, but I cannot get them installed into basecamp.

I run the install.cmd as admin to load the reg entries. But nothing shows up in basecamp.

    Suggestions?

OK I managed to get the map to show up in basecamp (had to install maps to a local folder rather than a LAN drive).

But, now I cannot get basecamp to install the map on the GPS. I got the dialog to install the map on the GPS, and it said successful, but it does not list the maps when I go to the GPS and select map setup.

I tried both installing to the "internal Storage" and to the memory card.

On subsequent uses of MapInstall (from basecamp) it shows that the maps are installed on the GPS - they just dont show up on the device itself.

Is Img from GPX creating IMG files?

    as well as GPX files?

Once the IMG files are installed and you can see them with BaseCamp as MAPS... Not as tracks.

Use Garmin MapInstall to transfer those to the maps to your Garmin device.

    Did you read my posts?

yes I can see the created maps in basecamp as maps.

Yes, I used mapinstall (from basecamp) to install the maps on my GPS.

the problem: The maps do not show on my GPS. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (using basecamp/mapinstall multiple times) and they still do not show on my GPS.

I have also used JaVaWa device manager and I can see the map on the GPS, yet it still does not show - on the GPS - under setup map ->select map.

For anyone who cares. Problem turned out to be too many maps loaded on the one GPS. I removed one of the large ones and my generated map showed up.
