Well Jodie had her doubts initially about riding from Osoyoos, BC to Mt Vernon, WA for a friends bar-b-que on her DR200, but the trip was a blast. the company was the best, the food especially yummy and we had a great time.

Our first trip on the DRs, We rode about 1300kms (800mi), through some of the nicest scenery around. I love Hwy 20, it has to be one of my all time favorite roads, 3 hours of 30 and 50 mph sweepers through the mountains and lakes. I'll let the pictures tell the story...

    the reason for the trip

That straw on the hillside is to hold back erosion after a fire, especially if they threw any kind of wild grass seed out there.

That's a great ride through the North Cascades and great pictures!

You're riding my favorite set of bikes. Also my wife has the same bikes.

Somtimes it's just amazing how small the world is at times. Especially when you live in a small town the size of Conconully. Here are my pics of Baldy Pass FS 37 taken August 5th, [IMG]
And this must be a common place to take pictures. With the Cascades in the background.[IMG]
And have to have road signs. But for you it could have been a short cut, by taking the Tiffany Springs road you would have came out in Loomis via FS 39. [IMG]

Hey that's cool, and we'll have to try the short cut next time, although not sure if I want to take short cuts...:deal :evil I had a really crappy map that only showed FS37 and we were pretty much going on local's directions so didn't want to try too much exploring. I had my handheld GPS as backup but we really weren't prepared and kinda took off spur of the moment. Jodie's first time riding gravel so we were taking it pretty easy but she was getting comfortable by the time we hit Loomis.

Hi Bross! Thanks for the answer and your information about your 1300km trip. Now I have the confidence to do a trip from Durango to Queretaro this month to meet some biker friends!

About your 1300km trip, there are very beautiful pics!! I hope some day drive in that roads. In the pictures I see one DR200SE, but the other which model is?

    See you!
