It's a good story.
got a quick one in last nite & it was sweet -
making one of my best finds so far
& racking up a deer count of 33 in under an hour - good thing i got those rigids cuz had no headlight the last 30 of the ride - guess i can add another point to the renfro bank's score
let's make that 2 more points ....
bent the turn signal bracket too
man i love that WR hard ....
This is old and new gas gas water pump shaft. The old one looks to have an extra groove, but it looks to be machined. Surface area where seal rides does look nasty. Hopefully that is where leak was. Is back together and oil looks clean in window this am. So fingers crossed.
Guy had told me fork seals were good. Naturally they are leaking and fluid covering front brake rotor making front brakes pretty much useless. Apparently I will be doing fork seals next..

Sweet! Get that thing fixed up and get down here to do some riding with us. We are most likely doing Tuesday AND Thursday nights from here on out to take advantage of the light before the time change. And a day each weekend. We are always glad to see another person trying out trials!
After a day or so of reflection I realize now that I should have not asked for any input from anyone else (wife) about riding this new section. There will be a little regret on my part not saying that we were just going to meet Bill to go ride a "new" place. But we did have a good day riding yesterday with some fellow ADV riders that came out! Glad you guys came out! I did a lot of practice with my boy on the logs we have set up....because I need the practice. All and all we did not get arrested yesterday and we still had a great time riding with each other and some friends. BTW all of you trials riders that think you can do some pretty technical stuff on "the logs". You better get on your game. The boy is taking some pretty big advances. And I am now a bit more comfortable doing some of the same on the "new" bike.
Got to ride muddobbers today, was a lil sloppier than I would like but got to ride with buddies all day so good time.
There was a bike check stand set up which was a total surprise. Gary’s xc would not pass so after rummaging thru extra bits he cobbled up enough parts to get it to pass!
I bailed after lunch as arm was sore after burk buster tried to break it during a wipe out. But had a good time..
After getting back home changed oil in gas gas again and let it run a bit. Prolly need to change it a couple more times. But after running it till fan cycled a few times oil in sight glass seems good.

I've seen you guys ride those Hondas like dirt bikes - pretty darn impressive
thank you.our goal was to try to do a lot with a little.something different.I'm pretty sure some "real" adv bikes are in the future.haha
Love the chicken..
yea he entertained us while we worked.acted like a watch dog
Those are "real" adv bikes. Think there is some pretty awesome footage from this spring that shows it!
Ok 3 week warning for the night ride/chili dinner we are hosting....We will have a single track set up for the smaller dualsport bikes. I may make a split in the trail for the serious single track riders that want to get into some of the gnarly stuff (give me some feedback). At this point I can't make any promises for the really big ADV bikes because of the weather and trail conditions, but you are welcome to come hang out and eat, camp etc.. Trials bike riders will be here from the Southern Indiana Trials Team. I also think we may have a few of the Hoosier Trail Riders club members here on their single track bikes. They usually show up for the chili and camping. Can't try to encourage you all enough to get out here and ride that weekend. Day time riding on Saturday and Sunday. Show up Friday night with your stuff and camp out if you want/need to. PLEASE PM WITH RSVP SO I CAN HAVE SOME SORT OF HEAD COUNT FOR FOOD. Oct. 28th starts around noon for daytime trail rides to get familiar. Then some chili. Then fire up the lights to do the trails again! Ride, camp repeat...Hope to see you all then!
...thought you guys were yelling 3rd gear...
we were we wanted to see you get wet !
Proof I have some "compassion" for KLR riders:
I was working my second job (for Uncle Phil the "hourly worker") and headed to my first estimate when I observed this poor soul of KLR riders off the exit ramp. I pulled over and said "So looks like you low sided?". He embarrassed said yeah. So I helped him finish looking his bike over and told him "Well at least it's just a KLR" (little did he know who had helped him.). He tried firing it up but the main dumb glass fuse blew. He must have been a prepared KKR rider as he immediately went to it and fixed it before discovering the battery was dead too. He asked if I owned a KKR too and I told him "No I have morals. Just kidding I own a......." So I start pushing an old piece of garbage out of the ditch before realizing it was not the KLR. Once redirected I helped push his bike out and onto Sam Jones to push start him and got him going.
Turns out he's been on the road the past few MONTHS as he took a trip from upstate New York to Prudhoe Bay. No one else stopped to help a guy on a motorcycle who obviously slid off the exit ramp. Even though he was on a KLR I still stopped because that what we ADVrider inmatesdo for each other day or night. Give each other shit and help each other out while still continuing the shit giving.
