I want to buy a policy with a high deductible ($5000 to $10,000) to cover me in case I have a serious get-off anywhere in the world. I would also like to have medical air evacuation coverage.

Some travel policies won't cover me because I'm riding a motorcycle, some won't cover me because I'm over 65, and some won't cover me out of the US.:cry

    I will appreciate any suggestions.

May want to look at this IMG insurance for international catastrophic health care:

Also a retired Texas surgeon in Mexico just told me that AARP has low rates for medvac insurance. Read the fine print.

Gringacho had a medvac policy for $50/USD per month and he was flown out of Honduras for some broken bones. I was surprised that they covered that; usually you have to have one foot in the grave before they will even consider airlifting you out.

A popular and well reported-on (real life reviews) policy for getting your busted body back home is www.medjetassist.com.

How much does medjetassist contribute toward getting your body unbusted? The actual medical limits seem pretty low unless I'm missing something.

Only gets you back home, AFAIK. Also returns your busted, worthless POS bike too, but with some country exclusions.

I filled out the form and the $10,000 deductable policy will cost over $4000 per year. Wow!:eek1

    Maybe I don't need insurance after all.:puke1

I looked on the Horizons Unlimited page and found World Travel Insurance.
I can get $1,000,000 coverage, $2500 deductable, for 2 people for $2731.40. That's the best I've seen. :deal
