A few years ago I put together a multi-day ride designed specifically for maximum fun on my 950 Adventure.

Over time, it has matured into what we now call The Dinosaur Run - named for the fact that the ride is based around Dinosaur National Monument in North-west Colorado / North East Utah.

The ride has grown from me myself the first few times scouting, to 5 guys the first time I opened it up.. to 40 people last year.

This year it is looking like it'll be bigger & more fun than ever (no worries though, we break up into teams of 5 or 6 riders each so the ride groups are the perfect size - then everyone meets at each night's campsite).

It is an "enjoy the day, enjoy the adventure!" ride - everybody checks their egos at the door and we work as a team to enjoy the day and enjoy the scenery as we travel from campsite to campsite.

Since I designed this ride specifically for the KTM950 Adventure.. I thought I'd extend an open invitation to you bunch of hosers in case any of you are available during those dates.

The official ride thread is here:

..and if you have questions about the ride that'd be the best place to ask them.

I so want to do this ride, but alas, it is not in the cards for this year............but next year I will plan better!

I really want to get out in that area, and this looks SO inviting.

Enjoy, and I for one will be looking for the ride report. :D

Chuck: the official ride starts Friday morning and ends Sunday afternoon.
That said we usually take Thursday off and I have a full offroad route from here in Boulder County all the way across Colorado on dirt.
Some folks also choose to camp Sunday night and head home Monday since Sunday's Route ends right at the doorstep of an epic riding area...

Man oh man this is the type of riding I want to do. But, I already have some trips planned this Spring that will make this impossible for me. Anyway to get an earlier announcement next year? Would you be willing to take names and emails for the next trip?

The trip is the same weekend every year and we start the thread in March every year.
