Not good. Not good at all.

After our conversations here in OZ earlier in the year, I'd suspect this will be the last event for the great man.

    But then again...

    Nanoseconds.

Literally now watching Hayden and Bradl pulling their gloves on for R2 at Imola. Wonder what they're thinking.

Wow, that second Superbike race at NW200 was just awesome. Watching Seeley running off the road at silly speeds was just crazy...

Honda seems to be duplicating the issue that tried to end Casey Stoner at the Suzuka 8 hours a couple years back. You'd think an "engineering" company like that wouldn't screw up something like ride-by-wire throttle so badly, TWICE!

    Morning all.

That NW200 race was fantastic! Didn't the Duc have wonderful drive out of corners! Wow... :thumb

Not looking good for the big H. As others have said, McPint doesn't normally crash.....

    What a shame.

So, of course, the question is - Will the mad truck mechanic win his first TT on the Mungen? :lol3

That's just Guy. Asperger's Syndrome? Don't know . . . I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. But, that is how he could be at times at Pikes Peak. It really is incredible how fast the words roll out at times. And with the accent, it can be a challenge to keep up.

I thought it particularly interesting that he said what needed working on with respect to development of the Fireblade was the throttle response (pre-McGuinness crash). I suspect McPint would agree that needs a wee bit o' fettling . . . .

I hope he gets his speed mojo back and he goes well at the TT.

    Cheers,

    Dave

I'm not sure Guy has enough roads racing laps in this year to qualify for a TT berth.

I think Guy's diction is in large part a function of the topic. For example, in the interview, he's staccato machine gun rapid. But, if you're speaking to him about engines, riding, etc., he's much more contemplative, the words slow (a bit) and the entire conversation becomes much different than the interview. For a Yank, he's damn difficult to follow to be sure, but he is not always that incomprehensible.

    Jus' sayin' . . . .

    Cheers,

    Dave
