Well you just missed the Geneseo, Morrison and Leaf River dual sport rides.
I'm not in the immediate Quad City area....about 45 minutes north near Bellevue, IA. We've got some farm land (fields, pastures, and timber) to ride along with some scenic back roads. Let me know if your up in my neck of the woods sometime!!
gotta go North as needed!
But for the bikes, just throw some screws in the tires and go have fun. If the trail is 1/2 ice/snow and the rest frozen dirt...it still works. Sure the screws wear down but it takes awhile and they are relatively cheap. You don't need to go nuts with it like the ice racers to have fun.
This is what I do.
I thought you laid on the couch and watched football.
That's what the 95%er's do.
I love being a 95%er. We get the best selection of chips & dip that way.
I just clicked on. I shit you not, I'm eating chips and salsa.
Yeah but being a 5%er means that sometimes the chip bowl is empty.
It is now.
Neat Blog: Abandoned Iowa
Thanks for posting this,
It has some of the places I've put in my little R.R.
Made it out to the Track with my son yesterday.
Yes I can still jump this double too, not all of them though.
Saturday looks decent. I'm going to go get lost on some gravel in Linn & Jones counties for a few hours in the afternoon and dirty my new bike up one more time.
We are drool sporting in Dbq on Saturday too.
You have to leave your property for it to be official.
A combination of trials and dirt bike riding doesn't count as DSing? We can tear up some of the adjacent landowner's property to qualify. I'm sure he won't mind.
Good luck with that.
Brrrrrr. Heading out momentarily to return a buddies TW to his place. Full snowmobile riding gear theis am! Rather frosty near Waverly.
No DS atm, but I do plan to put a few easy miles on my trophy in the afternoon. Might even talk my buddy into stretching the legs on his new to him GL650.....
