I thought you had a Triumph tiger?
Working on a gravel/B-road route across Iowa with Scooter Noob (a/k/a Jaime) and ZLTFUL (a/k/a Ryan). Looks like a fun route so far. Any thoughts?
I think you'd better let me know when you're going to run it! Looks like nice route. My inlaws live right on the other side of the Mississippi. I could drop the wife and kids off with the grand parents and run the route - especially if you don't run it until next summer.
Are continuing the loop after you hit Minnesota? Or doubling back?
Yea, awesome bicycle ride too.
The tentative plan would be to run it from Minnesota, south to Missouri and then along the southern tier of the state (with a couple of jaunts north of 80) to the Missouri River...
I have been scouring Google Earth for points of interest and so far, the water crossings, the antique tractor graveyard, several nice river overlooks are the highlights...and that's just the eastern 1/6th of the state. Hehe.
maybe anyone along the route could send in interesting things from their area to help plan the route
I just found this this morning.
Just north of Cantril over the Fox river
Awesome idea. We've roughed out at least one way to get to around Dubuque. From there, we need to find a way to Keokuk, and then find the interesting things that are "must see" things over to the Missouri. South of Dubuque looks . . . uh . . . like there's not that much there. Riverside -- future birth place of Captain Kirk.

South of Dubuque...Jackson County is full of great roads.
Yup...got bunches there...
Yes I have a tiger as well but purchased a wrecked Klr as well to take to Colorado. I am thinking wr450 next
This is a pic from a pass just out of ouray colorado
There's some decent stuff along the Iowa river around the Amanas. Now that I finally have a GPS I can record some tracks. Give me an excuse to go ride them again. There's 3-4 water crossings and some nice scenic B roads.
That's my stompin' grounds...... I'm just south of Bellevue. Anyone heading this way, let me know. Got some nice woods and pastures to ride, and nice back roads.
I will let the post speak for itself.

Met ya at Doug's on my 640 Adventure awhile back.
You had your bike in there for problems back then too.
After seeing your issues with your MTS I think I will pass on that red one and keep my 12 year old reliable 640.
Yes a KTM and reliable in the same sentence!?!?! It sometimes happens! :)
Yeah...I am definitely having a bit of buyer's remorse. My 900 Monster was rock solid reliable even when seriously neglecting maintenance and flogging the everliving snot out of it. This thing, I have been religious on maintaining and not a bit abusive to it and...well...
I am not ready to throw in the towel and buy an R1200GS just yet...but if I buy an extended warranty on the Multi and have to start actually using it...well...
Noob here. Diagonal.
