Hey Farmrider. I'm your neighbor from Iowa Falls.

Might try to ride this Sunday. Supposed to be 40.

This is my last winter in Iowa. I hate it.

MXChamp- I just read your location- Love it! :rofl

I guess sometimes the plains areas (further E or W of the Muddy Miss) do seem rather opposite of the Tail-of-the-Dragon. :D

Where are you moving to to get out of Dodge? :norton

My employer has set up new accounts in the Phoenix AZ area. So hopefully by this October I will have my transfer papers confirmed and approved. There are only a couple things standing in my way.

    The Wife.......

    Her Mother.......

    Sale of this house........

I would get a cheap camper and live down there if I have to!!! Oh look, more snow today!!! :norton

Yea snow !!! Still going riding mxchamp? I will be but it will be on 4 wheels instead of two:cry. The river seemed pretty solid last night and with a little snow for traction should be fun. You don't have a atv by chance do you? or studded tires?

That has been an option I have been looking at!

    :hide

At least today with the crummy weather I just bought me a new GPS to go on me bike!! So it hasn't been too bad of a day. I did want to go to WI and look at a new motorcycle to ride this summer. Well it's not new just new to me.

    Once again stuck at home.

Just picked me up a Garmin 2720 refurbished off eBay for $62.00. Has the 2014 maps and that's what I wanted.

My 2610 has maps from 2009 and some places it gets real weird on me. Had to keep the 2720 because my mounts on my bike and plug ins will still work. Save more money for important things like a trip to Moab!! :)

Were you gutsy enough to go for a ride yesterday MXCHAMP? To much crap on the road for me to try, Tried getting my sporty out to make a couple laps on the driveway and sidewalk but couldn't the tractor started and bikes are behind it.

Nope didn't go out either. If it would just stop snowing for a few days maybe the roads would get clear.

I did however work in the garage and put on a new drive train, Cush pads, rear bearings and a TKC 80!!

I'm about 72 miles straight south of you. You ever been to the OHV park in waterloo? Really nice area. Check out this link:

Not sure who is in charge of putting the video up - but that's me on my KTM. I guess they just found it on youtube and used it. There's a lot more than the one easy MX track that's shown in that video. It's a great way to spend a day riding.

Hey farmer. That's what's nice about dual sports and living in Iowa Falls.

We have 50 miles to Waterloo. 50 miles to Fort Dodge. 50 miles to Marshalltown. And a little further to Tama.

Real men ride down in Oskaloosa!! Now that's a blast!

Bluff Creek is less than 50 miles from me. Thats gotta be my favorite one - though waterloo is a close second.

Driving all over this dumb state as I do for work, I see the pioneer cemetery signs a lot. Anybody ever do a tour of these as an excuse to hit gravel roads?

There's a thought. Kinda like the Wisconsin Rustic Road thing? I wonder if there's a handy registry.

Hmm I have been to the Mitchell ave. sand pits about a decade ago on my atv. Never knew they changed it up. I'll have to go check it out. Most of the time I ride in the pasture(none of our toys were stickered:D) or the endless gravel roads from farm to farm (just not our farm:wink:).
