IMapWeather Radio is free for a limited time for iPhone / iPad. It's normally $9.99.

Edit: already back to regular price.

Just checked iMerlion. Three stars based on 14 ratings but it's free. My mom who lives in Singapore is the best city guide. :lol3

I believe there's a thread elsewhere discussing about how to keep track of rides. Will post here if I find it.

I am not a App expert by and stretch of the imagination, and it may have been mentioned in this thread already. The weather app I have found really useful has been
Lite My-Cast-Weather it is free uses the phones GPS and automatically adjusts your location while on the move and gives weather info for your location also shows your location on the radar when you pull up radar screen. Also allows you to view the whole USA, Canada and Mexico with radar to let you see what you may be headed into

If it hasn't been mentioned, I'm very fond of Beluga. It's a wifi texting program that can include location and a photo. After riding through the Yukon and most of BC without cell phone service (yes, AT&T) Beluga was the only way I could keep in touch with the outside world. Beluga was sold to Facebook so it's future is a question, but for the moment it served me well, and it works on PC's, too. http://belugapods.com/pods
