What a shame on me for not completing this RR. Sorry everyone. Thanks for the wonderful feedback. Let' s continue and finish with the remaining days.

    17 October, Friday
    Ali Sadr - Qeydar - Soltaniyeh - Zanjan - Tabriz (549 km)

We were up again before sunrise.
We were lazy again so didn' t fill the tanks in Hamadan. Tripmeter was on 180 km (112.5 miles)
Ali Sadr is a really small village. Hotel owner told us that the closest gas station was in Shirin Su. He also gave directions for a shortcut. According to his guidance we were on our way.

I realized that we were on the wrong track after 40 kms. All the road sign was in Farsi because the roads were really minor. We figured out that we passed the "Shirin Su" turn way back. So we had to go all the way back. We were having a gas crisis because of this setback.
Instead of guessing where Shirin Su is and wasting some more gas, we went to Gol Tapeh, the village before Ali Sadr. That was the long way, but at least the gas station was a guarantee. When we arrive, we saw that the station was closed. Children told us that it will be open 2 hours later. We didn' t want to wait. The little child said that he could find us some gas.
5 minutes later he came with a funnel and 20 litre gas. It smells right and the same price we used to have. Another crisis dodged.

Approaching Qeydar we stopped in a small grocery store looking place looking for some breakfast. The owner endlessly willing to help cooked us some omlette. Then some guys from the neighborhood came and joined us. After the obvious q&a a guy from the group read some poetry he wrote. Interesting to watch. :)
After that, we got outside and a younger fella took his illegal CRF 250 out of the basement. He got it in Bandar Abbas from a merchant. After a lot of insisting, i took it for a spin.

After Zanjan we connected to the highway to Tabriz. It was the new highway and we had another 150 km fuel range. But after 150 kms i was desperately looking for a gas station again. Then we were saved again buy the portable station. :)

AFter the filling, we arrived to Tabriz. We headed to Kharim Khan square to meet our friend Atabek again. This time we chatted about everything in between Turkey and Iran. It was hard for him really. Because he came to Turkey, and saw the outer world. There was nothing for him in Iran, but he couldn' t leave because of his mandatory army duty.

After a nice evening we said goodbye.

My mouth is simply wide open at how wonderful this whole trip report has been. I hope at some point if not in pictures, at least in words how the final aspect of the trip went and maybe give some statistics to your whole trip: Distance, amount of fuel, money spent, items lost and items found...

Again, thank you for showing a part of the world many will never get the chance to see.
