This is them !
For a different night, different feeling, with an agatha christie's spirit, you must sleep in the oldest irish hotel.
The leenane hotel
It's just amazing
Great thread people. We need to get more pics like these. It doesn't always rain in Ireland. (Bring waterproofs).
I have a couple of weeks off in September and am planning to take four or five days going from Malin head to Mizen Head via all the coast roads on the west coast. No matter how small.
I was feeling that I should piss off over to france for a week or ten days instead but after seeing these pics am all fired up again for this beautiful place I live in.
Donegal is twenty minutes ride from me. Slieve League is a particular favourite. For more desolate beauty, head through Glenculombkille and towards Port. It's a dead end wee road that has a small fishing pier and some absolutely feck off cliffs if you walk ten minutes.
Lived in Ireland most of my life and you've just reminded me of the beauty of what's virtually on my own doorstop. Definitely a hard place to beat when the weather is good.
More of Kerry in the sun
A few from the Beara peninsula, taken last year.
Lovely photos chaps.

If you are going to up to Malin Head Stay at The White Strand B and B.
Just off the R 242 near the head and with in walking distance from the pub. Mary will look after you and makes great porridge.<o></o>
Went last year with the mate on the bikes. <o></o>
Let slip how good it was when I got home.
I had to go back with another mate and our wifes two weeks later, on the bikes , ah well
This is The Wee House of Malin" is the little cave behind the ruins of the old church. Supposedly the home of a family - there is a saying that no matter how many people enter it holds all that enter it. <o></o>
not far from the B and B.
Cheers Moto. Will look into it. The B&B, not the gert big hole...
Mrs Bikemad wants to go for a weekend to the Dingle area next month, late birthday pressie, don’t ask.
I haven’t been there in 12 years, need suggestions where to stay (no camping), what roads to ride etc.

Nice B&B or smart hotel, not to far from any village, need to be able to walk to the pub, and back.
All suggestions would be welcome.
Lough Allen Slago
Made the TT in 06 and swung over to Ireland. This was pre-GoPro so the video is rough. I need to go back and reshoot.
We ran 16 days with no rain. It was glorious.

" We ran 16 days with no rain. It was glorious "
It must have been the luck of the Irish !!!!!!!!!!!
That pic up the top of donegal? I think i know that hill...
...and then some. Our friends in Scotland said that the previous year it had rained every single day from May to September. No one believes us when we talk about that trip. It was a very magical experience.
Well spotted the bottom of Mamore Gap Co Donegal on the way to Malin
Lough Erne, looking out towards Donegal.
Bloody Foreland, County Donegal.
Slieve League, County Donegal.
The Horseman of the West. County Sligo.
I took a trip around Ireland in 2008 with the missus on pillion
This was at the top of a mountain pass heading out of Glengarriff I think
One somewhere out west. Possibly in Galway.
Yes, it did rain on us but it was well worth the trip :)
A fascinating old graveyard in the middle of a golf course. The monks buried any bodies found on the local beach as well as parishoners.
The harder you look the more you see.......
Nice Hotel in Tralee is Ballyseede Castle. Great place, good food & Mrs Bikemad will love it.
