    Hi Folks,
Wow, started this thread when I was still living in Ireland a few years back. Now based in Sweden. I will be organising a trip from Northern Sweden to Ireland with a few Swedish riders in Summer 2011. If there are any takers for a meet and greet and ride in Ireland or Sweden or anyone who wants to partake in any aspect of the trip let me know.
We will be leaving from Örnsköldsvik (North East Sweden) and making our way to Ireland and then do a week long tour and make our way back. Two weeks in total.
Might be an opportunity for Irish riders who are planning a trip in Scandanavia (Nordkapp is the usual) to meet up onthe way to Ireland or follow us back on the way to Sweden/Norway.

    Slan,

yeah i dont really know what to propose other than we get something going!

maybe we should make a list of where everyone is in the country so people can PM others local to them and organise rides, then we could organise a yearly big meet for everyone or something.

anyone go to the road races?

Howya Forde, I'm afraid road races don't interest me but some kind of spin sounds good, I missed the Paddy Dakar again this year but a spin like that would be fun.

There's a lot of very familiar usernames on here. :D

    Hi Guys,
Been on this Forum since last year but just "discovered" it again after a while away on other forums, mainly Aprilia AF1 and Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ones.

Currently have an Aprilia Caponord and a Suzuki V-Strom 1000, (oh and a 05 GS1200 BMW for sale)

I have had V-Strom's for the past 5 years, but only bought the Caponord at the end of 2011. Took it off the road in January (for 6 months) and sorted out all the mods and upgrades it needed, and also repainted some of the body panels and the tank. It is a great bike and as there are only a few of them in the country, it gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
At first glance, most people think it's a KTM, but then realize it's a wee bit different !!

This is how it looked when I bought it,

and this is how it looks now, taken in Achill a few weeks ago.

There are a few more photo's in the Beasts / Caponord section if anybody is interested.

Look forward to chatting with you guys and maybe meet up some time.

I know Stephen !! He was also on the weekend in Leenane and Achill, but he was on his KTM 990. He used to have a Caponord a few years back. This is Steve's KTM on the Ride out on Saturday, Johnny from Cork owns the Super Tenere.

The DMTC (Dublin Motorcycle Touring Club) have their Santa Run on Sunday 16th Dec. Meet up in the Hard Rock Cafe in Temple Bar, and then ride out to Porterstown and giveout presents in a Womens Institute. We dress our bikes uo and don Santa Suits, and it a bit of craic, and a very worthy cause. This is me on my K1200s a few years ago.
