I am staying in Glenallen another day for work. Just met a young rider from BC who has lost the license plate off his KLR. I told him about this site and will let him explain.

So i started my trip in vancouver on the 7th of july. From ireland , worked in canada for the year and saved up enough money to get the bike and gear for a tour north. Never rode a motorbike before and bought it before i knew how to start it. Left for my adventure with only 350 miles on a bike ever. Ive been the whole way up to the artic circle and know how to drive the thing now. My current problem is that i am in glenallen (180miles from anchorage) and my liscence plate was stolen last night. I then checked my insurance to makesure i was still covered and my policy ran out 5 days ago . It will take too lomg for me to get a new plate up here (as i have a flight to catch in vancouver on the 14th of september) i still have all the apropriate paper work and the bike is mine and in my name. If anyone knows anybody around the anchorage area that would be interested in buying the bike id love to hear from you. Here are all the details of my bike and gear .
    Klr 650 2002
    50000 kilometers
New rear tire , oil and air filter (600 miles ago)
Nocco booster 7000 jules (10 jumps per charge)
    Jacket, pants and waterproof boots
Appropriate tools eg ratchet sockets etc.
    2 side praniers
    Fox helmet
    Leather gloves
    Im looking for around 2000$
If anyone has any suggestions on how to play this one (ways to get insurance etc) id love to hear it. Let me know if amyone would be interested in taking bike off my hands.

He should call icbc and try to renew by phone and get a temporary plate emailed. Does he have the original registration documents required to effect a transfer. Cad or Usd pricing?

He said he has the title with him. Today is a biz day so I believe he will contact agencies about plate.
I likely wont see him again as I am leaving today due to work. I'm sure he camped last night.
