92 miles in and around the San Isabel National Forrest with some side trips just to see what was down that road. Mostly pavement, some graded gravel roads and a little two track just because. It was the first checkout ride on the new to me NC700X DCT. The DCT is going to take a little getting used to, but it wasn't really a hindrance. I would have been in a lower gear, and held it longer a few times. I used the downshift button a couple of times and got the desired result. I will try the "Sport" mode next time as well. I learned a few things: 1) my sunglasses aren't comfortable under my helmet for more than an hour. I need some with thin wire arms. 2) I could use a taller windshield or more aerodynamic helmet, I was getting quite a bit of wind noise 3) My cell phone is not acceptable as a nav system 4) I need a simple camera and a way to access it easily on the bike. There were MANY, MANY more beautiful views that I couldn't/didn't capture to share with you guys.
