You got that right, Arte. Let's stay in touch. We do need to get together like we've done in the past.

Pilot815 was over yesterday working on his KLR, should have taken a picture of his air filter or what was left of it. :huh

I got a picture of it. Too embarrassed to post it. It was a failed experiment at a higher flow system.

Sent from my Samsung Note 10.1

Finally test rode the 2013 R1200GSW Saturday. Wow! Looks like I'm trading up with the new GSA in January.

Don't get me wrong, I am also a BMW GS fan, but since my second BMW leaking gasoline in my garage because of an faulty quick release-plug :eek1, I am a little pi$$$$ off.
Now I learned that BMW know about this problem (there are some recalls but mine was not included:deal)
and my dealership didn't tell me anything about it.
Even when I had to pay for it, that would be better than stay in nowhere with a burning GS. :kboom
I am going on the road next saturday for three weeks. I just were lucky, though.

And I admit, if I could afford the new R1200GS, I would go also with the new one.:lol3

Have a good ride Bob. I took the pictures down quite a long time ago (and stopped posting ride reports), so all one can do now is read that old RR. Book yourself a room at Hostal El Farol.

I think that it was Mike Mike who told me that they might be having some serious problems with that bike's handling...as in killing well known test rider and moto journalist... anyone know anything about this?

Regarding that incident, another rider had sent an email prior to the accident describing a harrowing incident he had with the bike's handling.
Locally, the two models they had here were sold quick but owners couldn't take delivery until parts came in to rectify a "problem" and details were scant.
