There's an amusing satisfaction to playing this little TVIP game and winning by maximizing the number of trips and canceling just in time. Must be the miser in me.

Especially satisfying after thinking I lost my TVIP and passport in the recent move.

Buena suerte, Hermano! Hope to tilt a glass with you in Parras on our way down. :freaky

I did three brewery tours in Milwaukee a number of months ago. Shocking how PC they were. :lol3

There is a mezcal museum outside Victoria and I need to stop in there some day. Clearly on my bucket list.

Personally, I am not that into wine and brandy but all of my friends are switching to wine and I guess that I need to experience the stuff. Irish genetics and all that. Wine is supposed to be better on the old body than hard likker. :evil

Some of us simply have more pipe to lay than y'all do. :lol3

With that said the dating pool out here is pretty shallow. Last Fall I jokingly told one of the managers that I would never date another woman who could speak English and who could cross the border and he started to bug me about setting me up with the wife's niece. I had to be polite but firm because he insisted on dropping her off during the Thanksgiving holiday. :huh

Do you know the first English words that a Latin woman learns out here? "Lawyer." "Alimony." You get the picture.

Voni Glaves (who a few of y'all know or know of) and friends celebrating yesterday at Lajitas. You would think that the Feds would take the hint and reopen the crossing.

    Who knows?!
    Who cares?!
It's Mexico and nobody ever needed a reason to party and dance with a hula hoop in a river.:clap
Maybe she is celebrating that Donnie is going to buy a Harley!:eek1

One of the captions is "Seeing families reunited. Borders are cruel."

I suspect that rules were bent that day, let's put it that-a-way. :lol3:wink:

    I don't know if I could handle all of that power! :eek1 :D :lol3

There is a bar/? across the Mississippi River in Helena, AR named "Horses and Hogs". I told my Harley riding friend that it was a proper name because they have about the same power and if you are going very far, you have to put them in a trailer!

    That is awesome :clap

It would be great to have something like that the length of the Rio Grande on a given date but the river is a bit dangerous in this area, it's not that shallow and has lots of undercurrents.

I shudder a bit thinking about how I used to go into the river with buddies when we were kids.

    Agree totally.

Have you ever noticed the warning signs regarding alligators that they have near the river in downtown Reynosa?

Are there really 'gators in the Rio Grande? :lol3

It's all good, Ace! The cool thing about Mexico is that you don't need a reason for a big happy party, you just need the feeling for having one and the rest always takes care of itself.:clap
