I'd like to make a spare key for a few bikes before a trip and I'm wondering about the 1190's key. Is it regular key that a locksmith can make a copy of? Or does it have some electronics in it that'll prevent simple copying?

    thanks.

Yes there is electronics in it, no simple copying possible. Keys can be ordered from KTM by the registered owner.

If you get one cut you can only use it to unlock the steering and open the seat.

The profile of the key is also not standard, so I'm not sure if lock smiths will have a blank or be able to cut it.
