Remember everyone, this is a classic/vintage bike event. There's more than enough cruiser/pirate-fest gatherings, and sportbike squidly-fest group hugs. Realize that anyone who shows up on a new bike [ newer than 20yrs] is laughed at and pointed at and called silly names. Nobody thinks you're cool if you blip your throttle on your new cruisomuno with open pipes.

Should I bring kitty litter to soak up oil leaking out of my British classic? Or is that provided?

I am also confused, is the 2nd or the 9th?
    Have to prep my trailer.

Sorry to be heavy,,,,,,I've just seen more n more "non applicable" machinery showing up last few times.
Yes of course,,,blipping the throttle on an old classic usually is an indication of trying to keep it running rather than "look at me" intentions.

Never came across as heavy, more humorous because we all know of which you speak! Last time I did the isle of Vashon I came off the ferry from Manchester behind a Velocette single that I swear had NO oil control rings and/or muffler! Had to literally slow down to see the road.He did look good with the pudding cap , leather jacket and boots. Oddly enough I will try to make it on my old sporty chopper WITH baffles and oil control measures in place!:huh

I blip the throttle this way at the IoV.
Sadly I wont make it this year.
It is a great event. Crowded enough as it is without all the noobs.

Ahh yes, I remember the Parillia,,,or was that a Yamaha with an identity crisis?? Very cool bike IMO.
As for oil control, my little game to help the 'atmosphere' of the event,,,,I pick up a small vial of castor been oil from the local pharmacy,,shake it up real good in a jerry can with gas, and release a fragrance of bygone days at the race tracks around the poker run course.
Hoping the long term weather reports change,,,looks like rain.

Looks like rain! LOL It's the PNW.
English engines thrive on dense moist air.
    Bonus: Pirates dislike rain! :lol3

    Thanks!
It's an '81 TZ 250 with a ported RD400 motor with flat slides.
    Or something like that. :D:wink:
I had to go back and get more pre-mix to finish the loop that year lol.

Damn, wish was there this weekend - no matter, my friends are though. The last time I went was in 1996! Since then it's always just been out of reach. Maybe next year.

No more Sportsman Club overnights by the lake anymore from what I've been told. Ahh, the memories... :freaky :tush :beer :flush

You all are a bunch of rat bastards for giving away the date for the TT. OK, I absolve you of your sins. Ride safe and hope to see you at the TT on an old bike!
