Has anyone try to ride in Israel ? Or are there any motorcycle rentals there ? I would like to go someday and see this amazing country. I have heard that it is a great place for motorbike tours or adventure tours. Beautiful landscape and nice people.

Israel is a great place , so many cultures in a small space.

I was there for a while , not many big motorcycles but lots of scooters and smaller bikes. I cant recall ever seeing a motorcycle rental business but i am sure you could rent a smaller bike ....

go an have a great holiday ...nothing like sitting in jerusalem on a bench having a ciggarette and watching the ppl go by or on the sea of gallilee or from a bench in tel aviv...go play backgammon against the pensioners on the beach... let them take a few shekels off you ...its a great experience

    Unfortunately no motorbike rental in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region> except for some scooters.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
KTM is the most popular brand in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region> (offroad) and have a few demo and second hand bikes that they use for riding tests.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Knowing KTM manager in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region>, I would say that there is a good chance that if you would approach the local dealer through your KTM dealer there might be a bike for you for a day or two just as a jester of good will.<o:p></o:p>

Sorry, only one I know to rent bikes in Israel are BMW, and last time I asked, they started at 100$ a day.
I read about a man that came to visit and a friend in Israel arranged a spare KTM so he joined a tour for a few hours. a link

contacting Kruvi (Israel KTM line manager) through your KTM dealer, sound like a good Idea.

Here's link to a place saying they rent bikes.
The link is in french (the English page is under construction)
I talked to them today and they said that you should call for availability. they have KLE 500. Don't know the prices...

I wouldn't count on it. as far as i know renting a motorcycle in Israel is a problem.

And yes, it is a beautiful place and a great place for motorbike tours.

    Hi,
If anyone visits Israel and need help with anything, I'm willing to offer assistance and advice.

I knew someone who was renting his personal bikes, but for relatively long terms, as to make it legal he actually sold the bike and bought them back. If anyone is interested, i'll try to track the guy (old Japanese bikes).

i plan to ride israel on my GS, as part of a greater african trip. i always thought that to ride israel would take a day, or so ... a short ride.

i would then need a few more days, on buses, to play tourist.

ok.. only a few places that rent.. and the price is horrible.. 125$/day for a F650 or KLE500 and nothing else available.. so forget it. also cost prohibitive to bring your own if you are riding through.

If you come with your own MC, from Egypt say, it should be easier.
    * keep in mind that's not all of Israel neighbors have open passage, only Jordan and Egypt.
    * you can't come in to Jordan with a motorcycle, you need to get permission first, since motorcycle is illegal in Jordan.

I think it takes about 8 hours by car from Eilat to Haifa. Pardon me if I am mistaken. I lived there for a year but never drove. By bike it should take less than 8 hours.
Me and my childhood buddy have a dream of riding from Izmir to Mersin and take a boat from there to Haifa and discover the anchient places by bike.
I also came accross to some great pictures of the terrain for adventure riding.

Hello. My name is Branko(59) and has long time planning with motorcycle(Suzuki V-strom 650 DL) to Israel in society of my wife Irena(58)and another couple(Suzuki GSX 1400), accros Serbia,Bulgaria,Turkey,Syria,Jordan. Israel for me wearing the beautiful memories when I worked there 16 years ago. Now I'm shure that will achieve my dream to once again see this beautiful country. Returning this way might be a problem because of israelish stamp in our passports so for now only solution to avoid this problem is route Israel-Cyprus-Turkey and that will make additional costs to as.If anibody has some idea how to avoid israelish stamp in passport and go home same way by land I will be really grateful. I red on forum Israeli wonders that it is possible to gat stamp on a piece of paper on the way in and aut of Israel, but you have to ask nicely. Does anybody knows about ferry line from Haifa(Ashdod) to Limassol(CYP) or Izmir(TR) and rate for it? Greetings. Branko from Croatia. :clap

I am being told that the Harley dealer in Tel Aviv has rental bikes. I don't know the details, yet. hdisrael@bezeqint.net

So I spent today lurking in some motorcycle shops in Tel Aviv. Here is what I found on rentals. Scooters are easy, and fairly reasonable. Even up to a Berghman class. about 250 shekels a day. Thats about $60 USD or so. A place called "Motogo" 103 Hertzel St. They had a BMW1200 RT for about 350 euro per day, and a Tenere for 250 euro per day. That includes insurance for everything except the bike. You are responsible for the bike if damaged, stolen etc. Tele # 054-2223123 www.motogo.co.il
The Harley place rents also. They had a Sportster for $120 USD per day, and something else for $180 per day and a Dyna for $200 per day. Again with the required ins, but not covering the bike, 2 day minimum rental. They are @ 54 Hamasger st. 03-5611880 Both said they would try to find riding gear for you to use, but you should think about bringing your own. The Harley place said you should reserve it in advance. The KTM store said they knew of no one renting dirt bikes. Most said they knew of no rentals other than scooters, I just found these by walking in and asking.

    :evil Hey (my first post!)

I live in Jerusalem and ride an F650 classic, if you promise to treat her right and get your own insurance I'll rent her out. Israel is the best place to ride!
